Basic Angel Cake

Finally,I made an angel cake. With so many egg whites left from making kek lapis the other day,I had to think of what to do before I threw it into the bin and waste away.I found a recipe and made this simple basic angel cake.Adapted from the book-1001 Classic Recipes From around The World
Actually, this cake was supposed to use a tube pan but I don't have one,so I just used a 9" round pan instead.

 Basic Angel Cake:
1 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp cornstarch
11/2 cups superfine sugar
10 large egg whites
11/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
confectioner's sugar to dust(I skipped)

Preheat oven to 325°F.Set out a 10 inch tube pan with a removable bottom.Sift the flour and cornstarch into a large bowl.Stir in 1/2 cup superfine sugar.Beat the egg whites, cream of tartar and salt in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until frothy. With mixer at high speed, gradually beat in the remaining 1 cup sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.Add the vanilla and almond extracts.Use a large rubber spatula to gradually fold in the dry ingredients.
